Screen printing for bold graphics and bigger runs. DTF transfer for smaller batches and photo-based designs. Embroidery for premium chest logos. Dark garment printing when you need vivid colour on black or navy fabric. We match the method to the job.
METHOD 01
Screen printing
Our go-to for bold graphics on hoodies. The ink bonds into the heavyweight fabric and stays punchy wash after wash. Multi-colour designs, big back prints and sponsor blocks all work.
More efficient per-unit at higher volumes. Standard for sports clubs, leavers runs and event merch.
METHOD 02
Digital & DTF transfer
For smaller hoodie runs, photo-based designs, or artwork with complex gradients and fine detail. No screens, no plates, no setup. The transfer is pressed directly onto the fabric.
Popular for personalised leavers hoodies with individual names. Works well for one-offs and short runs where screen printing setup costs don't stack up.
METHOD 03
Dark garment printing
Vivid colours on black or navy hoodies need a white underbase before the colour ink goes down. We layer the inks so the design pops against the dark fabric instead of getting absorbed.
Most hoodie orders involve dark blanks. The extra step ensures the graphic stays bright, crisp and readable.
METHOD 04
Embroidery
Thread-based, raised, premium. Best for chest logos on business hoodies and stitched signature pieces where you want the brand to read as quality.
Holds up to repeated washing. Standard for corporate hoodie programmes and premium gift runs.

Not all blanks are equal. AS Colour for premium feel and fit. Gildan Heavy Blend as a solid mid-tier workhorse. JB's Wear if you want a specific cut. We recommend based on your use case and budget reality.

Artwork Prep for Hoodies
Hoodies have pockets, zippers and seams. We prep your design to work around those, not fight them. Centre seams, kangaroo pocket gaps and hood drawstrings all affect placement.

Sample Approval
On bigger orders we run a sample first. You see the actual print on the actual hoodie, check the registration and colour, then approve before the rest of the run goes.

Production
Hoodie fabric is heavier than tee fabric and needs different curing temps and ink loads. We adjust the process per garment type so adhesion is right and prints don't crack.
