T-Shirt Printing Auckland - Creative Design and Print

T-Shirt Printing Auckland

Custom t-shirts and apparel printing for businesses, teams, schools and events across Auckland.

Henderson, West Auckland

People remember a good custom t-shirt.

  • 01 The Saturday league team pulling on matching jerseys.
  • 02 The hospo crew looking sharp at a busy Friday service.
  • 03 The event tee everyone still wears two years later.

That's what t-shirt printing should deliver, and that's the job our Henderson studio does for businesses, teams, schools and events across Auckland.

Who comes through the door

Tradies kitting out their crew. Cafes opening a new location. Charities running a fundraiser. Sports clubs ordering match-day kit.

Each job is different. We've been doing this long enough to know which method suits which one.

Method matters

We'll recommend the right method for your job.

Most people don't know whether they need screen printing, digital, DTF or embroidery. That's fine. Part of the job is recommending what actually suits your design, quantity and use case.

METHOD 01

Screen printing

Our go-to for bigger orders with bold, solid graphics. The ink bonds into the fabric and the colours stay punchy wash after wash.

There's a setup cost per colour, so it makes more sense at higher volumes where the per-unit price drops.

METHOD 02

Digital & DTF transfer

What we use for smaller runs, photo-based designs, gradients, or anything with fine detail. No plates, no screens, no setup.

Makes economic sense for 20 or 30 shirts. Quality is excellent and durability is good with proper garment care.

METHOD 03

Dark garment printing

When you need vivid colours on a black tee or hoodie, we underbase with white before laying down the colour ink. Works across tees and custom hoodies alike.

Slightly more involved than printing on whites. The result is bright, crisp and durable.

METHOD 04

Embroidery

Better for polos, caps and structured workwear than for tees. Thread-based, raised, classic.

Premium feel for corporate or formal applications. We handle stitch logos in-house.

Tell us garment type, quantity, design and deadline. The right method is usually obvious. We'll tell you which one and why.

500

The standard

The job size doesn't change the standard.

A run of 20 community group tees gets the same care as a 500-shirt corporate rollout.

After delivery

Good print is half the job. Garment care extends it.

  1. 01 WASH Inside-out, cold water
  2. 02 CYCLE Gentle, low spin
  3. 03 DRY Hang, skip the tumble dryer

Consumer NZ has a useful guide on caring for printed and synthetic fabrics that's worth a read if you're stocking branded apparel for a team. We can also recommend pre-shrunk garments so sizing stays consistent through the first few washes.

How It Works

How Your T-Shirt Printing Project Works

01

Send Us Your Brief

Tell us what you're after. Quantity, garment type, design, deadline, who it's for. Rough idea is fine, you don't need to have it all worked out before you talk to us.

02

Method and Garment Recommendation

We tell you whether screen printing, digital transfer, DTF or embroidery suits your job best, and which garment blanks make sense for the way they'll be used.

03

Artwork Prep

If your design is print-ready, great. If it needs cleaning up, colour-matching to your brand, or scaling for placement, our design team handles it before anything goes near the press.

04

Mockup and Sample Approval

You see a visual proof before production. On bigger orders, we can run a physical sample so you hold the actual tee, check the print, and confirm the fit before we commit the full batch.

05

Production and Quality Check

Your tees get printed in our Henderson workshop, with checks at each stage. We pull anything that doesn't meet spec before it leaves the shop.

06

Pickup or Delivery

Collect from Henderson, or we arrange courier delivery anywhere across Auckland or further afield in NZ. Bulk packed, sorted by size, or individually bagged depending on what works for your distribution.

Why Choose Our T-Shirt Printing

Quality Garment Blanks

We've tried the bargain blanks. They shrink, the collars stretch, they look terrible after three washes. So we stick with proven suppliers whose tees hold their shape and feel good to wear.

Design Support Built In

If your artwork isn't print-ready, we'll sort it. Clean up files, adjust colours for the print method, flag anything that won't reproduce well, and rebuild logos to vector if needed. No extra runaround.

Sample Approval on Bigger Orders

On larger runs, we can produce a sample first. You get to hold the actual tee, check print quality, registration and colour, then confirm before we produce the full batch. No surprises at delivery.

Consistent Reorders

Reorders come out identical. Same blank, same fit, same print placement, same colour. Your team won't end up with a mismatched mix across batches ordered months apart.

One Point of Contact

Design, printing, embroidery, finishing, delivery. All managed from our Henderson studio. One quote, one invoice, one person to call when you've got a question.

Frequently Asked Questions - T-Shirt Printing

Vector files work best for screen printing, AI, EPS or PDF. For heat transfer and digital prints, we need high-res images, 300dpi minimum, in PNG or JPEG. Got a low-res file and nothing else? Send it through anyway. We'll let you know what's possible or rebuild it if needed.
Yes. Digital transfer and DTF handle photographs, gradients and fine detail that screen printing can't replicate. We use these methods for personalised gifts, memorial tees, event merch, and anything with photographic content.
For everyday wear, 100% cotton. Comfortable, prints well, people actually want to keep wearing it. For sports teams, outdoor events or hospitality, poly-cotton blends and moisture-wicking performance fabrics make more sense. We'll recommend specific blanks once we know how the tees will be used.
Keep it simpler than you think. Start with your logo or team name, decide on placement (front, back, or both), and don't try to cram too much in. Readable text and clean graphics always look better than busy designs. Need help turning your concept into something print-ready? That's part of what we do.
Yes. Our graphic design team can build artwork from scratch, clean up an existing logo, or adapt your brand assets for apparel. Most jobs that come through this studio involve at least some design work before anything hits the press.
Depends on method. Digital transfer and DTF have no real minimum, so single-shirt and small-batch runs are fine. Screen printing has a setup process per colour, so it suits bigger orders better. Tell us your quantity and we'll match the right method to your job.
Run a quick survey or shared spreadsheet to collect sizes before ordering. Most groups skew towards M, L and XL. We can suggest a rough split if you're not sure. For mixed teams, we offer both unisex and women's cuts in matching colours.
Absolutely. Digital and DTF methods are built for small runs. A single shirt, ten, fifty, no problem. Screen printing gets more cost-effective at higher volumes, so for bulk events or staff rollouts we'd usually steer that way instead.
