Custom Stickers - Creative Design and Print

Custom Stickers

Custom stickers and labels - vinyl, die-cut, product labels, and promotional stickers printed on materials that actually hold up indoors and out.

Custom stickers do a lot of heavy lifting for businesses: product labels, brand marketing, giveaways, asset tracking. We print custom stickers at our Henderson workshop for Auckland businesses who need labels and stickers that won't peel, fade, or fall apart after a week. And honestly, that's most of what we hear from new customers: their last stickers didn't hold up.

What is Custom Stickers?

Here's why stickers are worth thinking about. They turn plain packaging into something branded, make any flat surface into advertising space, and people genuinely keep the good ones, stuck on laptops, water bottles, toolboxes. We print everything from basic paper labels through to heavy-duty vinyl stickers rated for years of outdoor exposure, and we'll steer you toward the right material for where yours actually end up. Browse our print shop product range for other materials that support your branding.

What we print the most of:

  • Vinyl stickers (outdoor-rated, waterproof, the ones that survive Auckland weather)
  • Product labels for food, cosmetics, beverages, you name it
  • Die-cut stickers shaped to your design (not just rectangles)
  • Packaging labels that seal and brand boxes, jars, bags
  • Promotional stickers for events, launches, giveaways
  • Equipment labels built to stay legible for years on machinery

We've dialled in our colour matching and cutting over hundreds of jobs. Your stickers come out looking sharp and they stay stuck where you put them.

Auckland businesses come to us for custom stickers because we get the details right, whether that's compliance labelling that passes inspection or promotional stickers people actually want to stick somewhere. For events, pair stickers with promotional branded products and custom printed t-shirts to maximise brand exposure.

When You Need Us

When You Need Custom Stickers

1

Product Labels

Your product sits on a shelf next to ten others. The label is what makes someone pick yours up. We print labels that identify contents, meet regulatory requirements, and (just as important) make your brand look like it belongs there.

2

Packaging Stickers

A branded sticker on a plain box changes everything. Way cheaper than custom-printed packaging, and you can update designs without throwing away stock.

3

Promotional Giveaways

Laptops, water bottles, car bumpers. Good stickers end up everywhere, and they keep working long after the event's over. That's marketing you print once.

4

Equipment Labels

These need to survive grease, UV, vibration, the lot. We print equipment labels on materials that stay legible and stuck down for years, not months.

5

Vehicle Graphics

Your van's already driving around town. Why not turn it into a billboard? Vehicle stickers and graphics pick up thousands of eyeballs during a normal workday, and the vinyl we use handles sun, rain, and motorway grime.

6

Window Displays

Hours, promos, branding: window stickers get the message across without permanent commitment. Peel them off when the campaign changes.

7

Floor Graphics

People don't expect to see branding on the floor, which is exactly why it works. Retail stores, warehouses, event spaces. Laminated floor stickers handle foot traffic and grab attention from an angle nobody else is using.

8

Safety and Compliance Labels

Warnings, operating instructions, hazard symbols. These labels have to stay readable in harsh conditions: wet, hot, oily, outdoors. We print on materials that won't let you down when it matters.

9

Food Labelling

Ingredient lists, nutritional panels, allergen warnings. Food labels have to meet strict NZ regulations. But they also need to look good on the shelf. We handle both.

10

Event Merchandise

Conferences, festivals, product launches. Stickers are the giveaway people actually keep. And every time someone sticks yours on a laptop lid, that's another impression you didn't pay for.

Our Process

Our Custom Stickers Process

01

Application Assessment

First thing we ask: where are these stickers going? Indoor shelf? Outdoor signage? A freezer? The environment dictates everything: material, adhesive type, lamination. Get this wrong and you're reprinting.

02

Artwork Review

We check your files for resolution, colour mode, and die-cut paths before anything goes to print. Catches problems early. Most issues we see are low-res logos and missing bleed, but those are easy fixes if we spot them now.

03

Material Selection

Paper, vinyl, clear, removable, high-tack, specialty stocks. We'll recommend what makes sense for your specific use case rather than just defaulting to whatever's on the shelf.

04

Cutting Method

Kiss-cut on sheets for peeling and handing out. Die-cut as individual stickers ready to apply. Roll labels for high-volume machine application. The format matters more than people realise, and it affects how easy your stickers are to actually use.

05

Proof Approval

You'll see a digital proof showing the design, exact size, and cut lines before we run the full job. No surprises.

06

Production

We print and cut to your specs with calibrated colour and tight tolerances on the cut paths. Not much else to say here. This is the part where the machines do their thing.

07

Quality Inspection and Delivery

Every batch gets checked for print quality, cut accuracy, and consistency across the run. What you receive is ready to apply, package, or hand out.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Creative Design and Print for Custom Stickers?

Application Expertise

We've printed stickers for freezers, boat hulls, factory floors, and everything in between. That experience means we know which materials and adhesives work where, so yours don't peel off or fade out.

Material Range

Paper, vinyl, clear, metallic, removable, high-tack, conformable. We don't limit you to two or three standard stocks. If your application needs something specific, we'll source it.

Design Support

Don't have sticker-ready artwork? That's fine. We'll create or adapt your design for print, setting up cut paths, adjusting bleed, making sure colours translate properly to the material.

Quantity Flexibility

Need 50 for a niche product line? Or 10,000 for a nationwide promo? We print both. And the quality stays the same whether it's a short run or a big one.

Durability Options

Basic paper labels for indoor use. Vinyl for outdoors. Vinyl plus laminate for serious abuse (UV, scratches, chemicals). We'll match the durability to what your stickers actually face.

Brand Consistency

Colour matching matters. A sticker that's slightly off-brand is worse than no sticker at all. We calibrate our output so your Pantone or CMYK values come through accurately, every run.

Custom Stickers Pricing

Custom sticker quotes depend on a few key variables: material, size, quantity, cut complexity, and any finishes like lamination. Here's how those factors play out:

Material Affects Cost

Vinyl costs more than paper upfront, but if your stickers are going outdoors or near moisture, paper won't survive. Sometimes the more durable option is the smarter spend.

Quantity Benefits

Bigger runs bring the per-sticker cost down because there's a setup component that gets spread across more units. We can tell you where the quantity breakpoints are so you can order strategically.

Cutting Complexity

A rectangle is straightforward. A custom die-cut shaped around your logo? More involved. We'll work with you on cut path design that looks great without overcomplicating production.

Design Services Available

Plenty of our clients send print-ready files with cut paths already set. But if you need design help or cut path creation, we quote that separately, so just ask.

Frequently Asked Questions - Custom Stickers

Vinyl. That's the short answer. Vinyl stickers handle rain, condensation, freezer environments, and general outdoor abuse. Paper stickers will wrinkle and peel the moment they get wet, so if there's any chance of moisture, go vinyl.
You'll need a cut path, basically a vector outline showing where the blade cuts around your design. Most designers add a 2-3mm border between the printed art and the cut edge. Don't have cut paths set up? Send us your design and we'll create them for you.
Vinyl plus laminate. Gloss laminate makes colours pop and protects against UV and scratches. Matte laminate does the same but cuts glare, which is nice for labels people need to read. For indoor-only stickers, unlaminated vinyl usually does fine on its own.
Depends on the curve. Standard vinyl handles gentle curves (think water bottles, helmets, slightly rounded packaging). Tight curves or compound shapes can cause wrinkling, especially on larger stickers. For those situations, we use conformable vinyl that stretches and moulds without lifting.
Send us vector files such as AI, EPS, or vector PDF. These scale cleanly and let us set precise cut paths. If you only have raster artwork, make sure it's 300dpi at actual print size minimum. And put your cut paths on a separate layer so we can work with them easily.
Kiss-cut means the blade cuts through the sticker material but leaves the backing sheet intact, so you peel stickers off like a sheet of stamps. Great for handing out or selling. Die-cut goes all the way through everything, giving you individual stickers ready to apply straight away. We do both.
